Isa's African Hair Braiding, Savannah, GA: what changed
Claimed and fixed the salon's Google profile, built a fast website, and set up free booking alerts. 450 calls from Google in 3 months.
Disclosure: Isa, the owner, is my cousin.

Before
The salon’s Google Business Profile had never been claimed. That meant the owner couldn’t control what Google showed about her business: her hours, her address, or her photos.
What I did
- Claimed the Google Business Profile for the salon, so the owner controls it. Then I corrected the hours, confirmed the address, and added real photos of her work.
- Built isabraiding.com (opens in a new tab), a fast site that works well on a phone, with tap-to-call and a clear “Book your appointment” button.
- Gave each main style its own page (box braids (opens in a new tab), cornrows (opens in a new tab), twists (opens in a new tab), and goddess braids (opens in a new tab)), so the salon can show up when people search for a style in Savannah.
- Set up booking without a monthly fee. The owner didn’t want a paid booking tool, so I built a simple booking request form. Each time a client sends one, she gets a message on Telegram right away.
- Set up page titles, descriptions, and structured data that tell Google what the salon does and where it is.
The last 3 months
From the salon’s Google Business Profile, for the 3 months to October 2026:
- 4,723 people viewed the profile. 87% of them (4,092) found it on Google Search on a phone. Another 312 found it on Google Maps on a phone.
- 975 people took an action: 450 called, 302 asked for directions, and 223 clicked through to the website.
- The profile showed up in 1,230 searches. The top ones:
- african hair braiding (402)
- african hair braiding savannah ga (324)
- african braiding near me (192)
- african braiding savannah ga (120)
- hair braiding near me (44)
Almost every visit came from a phone. That’s why the site and the profile are built for tap-to-call and quick booking first.
